My white cell count is back in the normal range after having gone below normal after the chemo. My oncologist also was unable to palpate the node near my neck which had been swollen before the first treatment. Don't go ordering the Champagne just yet. This is a marathon, not a sprint.
Speaking of running, 3 miles this morning, boys and girls. Not much to my running brethren but it's nice to know the wheels haven't come off yet.
Tomorrow is round two of the "juice." The other news is by the time we go to round three, the infusions may be offered at Dr. Caputto's uptown location across from Touro. The space is being built out now.
Your literary reference is from Thomas Wolfe, born this date in 1900:
"All things on earth point home in old October: sailors to sea, travellers to walls and fences, hunters to field and hollow and the long voice of hounds, the lover to the love he has forsaken."
